A day with nature

12:20 PM

Last Friday, my family spontaneously decided to take a trip up to the Blue Mountains. So we gathered a few of the troops, made some snacks and set off. It took us around an hour to get to our destination.
As we got closer to the mountains, forests and trees began to surround us. It was great! It felt like I was back in New Zealand.

Upon arrival, you could instantly notice the change in atmosphere. The air was lighter and there were no traces of pollution. It was a breath of fresh air, from the hustle and bustle of the city.
However, our mission that day was to witness the beauty of Wentworth Falls.

The trek down to the waterfalls took us quite a while but it was all worth it. Wentworth Falls looked especially dashing today because of the cheeky appearance from a rainbow, from when it was raining earlier.

Since  we still had half of the day left, we decided to take a slight detour and make our way to Echo's Point to visit the Three Sisters. The Three Sisters essentially is an unusual rock formation which according to Aboriginal Legends, represent three sisters who were turned into stone. It is one the main attractions which can be found in the Blue Mountains.

Just when all the fun had started of taking hilarious family photos and playing ridiculous tricks on one another, it started to pour down with rain. It didn't look like the rain was going anywhere so we all packed into the car and made our way home.
