What's up guys, my name is Matelita and I'm your typical 21yo who loves fashion and a piping cup o' coffee. I graduated with a diploma in design specializing in photography and currently work as an assistant photographer.

I started this blog not only for my passion for fashion; but also because I am a hardcore thrifter! Hence the name, 'Thriftmonsta'. One of the main reasons why I decided to do this was because, from my understanding, most people underestimate thrifting. I have met people who have never set foot in a second-hand shop or would have to think twice before buying clothes. 

I believe that fashion is not based on the branding/price of the piece, it is simply how you wear it. You don't have to break the bank to look flawless. In my opinion, I think is a great option for people who are running low on guap (money $$$) or if they want to experience what it's like to be Macklemore for a day ;) Either way, thrifting is a great alternative to your typical clothing stores.

On my blog, I will talk mostly about items that I have thrifted, how to style them and some tips that have helped me get the most out of the items I have thrifted. I also document days where I go out thrifting and share some tips on how to get the most out of your trip to the thrift store! But the fun doesn't end there, I also blog on my lifestyle and other non-fashion related stuff.
