Hi, hello all! Lately it has been really hot and humid here in Sydney, Australia. So I have been really into lightweight pieces of clothing that will keep me feeling (less) grubby. I found this piece while at a thrift store not that long ago. At first I wasn't 100% sure on how I was going to style it because of the silhouette of the shirt. None the less, I picked it up and welcomed it into my wardrobe. I envisioned a casual/daytime look with this shirt, so I came up with this little number :)

I just paired the top with a simple white cami, black leather jeans (which were a big mistake! Due to the hot weather) so I switched those out for some cute black skorts. I topped it off with my Dr. Martens which I have been OB-SESSED with, along with my trusty black fedora that I am never seen without.

I wore this outfit to work and let me tell you, your girl was not aware of the sneaky pockets that were on the side! I was super surprised and happy that it had pockets. If any article of clothing has pockets, it will get an A+ in my books. I'm a girl who loves pockets! They were so convenient. Usually when I commute from one place to another, my hands are full. Carrying my phone in one, train ticket in the other.... It was a nightmare! So this shirt was a definite life-saver. I just stuffed the pockets with my phone, spare cash and train tickets and I was ready to run a marathon (well maybe not in this heat). 

In all, this shirt is a sure winner in my books. Lightweight, funky pattern and with full functioning pockets?! Love it!
